Classification Of Cable Reels

1. The spring-loaded cable reel is used to control the rolling and unwinding of cables, mainly used in cranes, stacking equipment or wastewater treatment technologies.

The spiral spring-loaded reels are more reliable and less expensive, and can be replaced with electric reels. Especially if there is no internal power supply for mobile devices.

The flange of the spring-loading reel is made of galvanized sheet metal and the outer edge of the flange is crimped. The center of the reel is made of sheet metal and the outer layer is maintained with a polyester coating to prevent corrosion.

Second, the basic principles of reel planning

In the chart on the right, both the use of the horizontal reel and the vertical release are indicated.


Horizontal cable installation:

- Ability to exit in 1 or 2 directions.

- Cable the cable on a continuous plane or support the cable off the ground with a support less than 1 m apart.

- The height of the device does not exceed 1 m from the plane of the cable to the center of the reel.

- Operating speed: 10 m / min - 60 m / min

- The cable length L0 of the sagging is not considered.

Third, the selection of reels and cables

- Operating speed less than 10 m/min

- Strong vibration - Use at sea, salt or corrosive air - Temperature below -15 °C - Sharp bend path - Demand forced guidance (see below)

If a forced guide is installed, it is necessary to ensure that the interval between the flattening roller and the embossing roller and the mirror roller is six times the width of the roller.

It is necessary for the spring reel to be placed in a position where the cable can be freely discharged and rolled up without obstacles. Forced guidance and guide wheels with too small a scale are not acceptable under any circumstances.

4. Reel type There are multiple series of AV12, AV19, AV28, AV40, AV50 and AV60.

Use hot-dip galvanized steel material

Up to 52 poles of power supply can be satisfied, depending on the cross-sectional area of the cable.

The cable capacity depends on the thickness of the cable and the variety of the drum. The cable length can be up to 135m.

Five, the parameters of the spring reel selection requirements:


Device type

Cable parameters: diameter, component per meter, minimum tortuous radius (= radius of the drum)

The required cable core size is determined by the rated current, the maximum temperature and the maximum number of cable layers.

Note that the number of cable layers will affect the correct selection of the cable.

The roll winding length is calculated according to the power supply point orientation and the walking length.

The additional cable length (and device orientation) is used to calculate the required cable length.

The speed, the height of the device, and the method of powering (the end supply is still the middle supply) to pick the spring. (The power supply point should be able to accept enough tension)

Sixth, the main device type:

Standard horizontal reciprocation: The horizontal device is on the mobile device, the height difference between the lowest point of the cable and the reel is about 1m and the support is required to leave the ground.
