Angle grinder leakage repair

Common causes of leakage of the angle grinder are: stator leakage, rotor leakage, brush holder leakage (metal shell angle grinder) and internal conductor breakage.

1) Remove the brush to judge whether the stator, the brush holder and the internal wires are leaking.

2) Disconnect the connecting line between the stator and the brush holder to judge whether the brush holder is leaking.

3) Independently measure whether the rotor has leakage.

The leakage of the rotor and the brush holder can only be replaced, and the stator can be re-wound or replaced.

Firstly, the inspection wiring line is unbroken, and the casing can be detected by a multimeter. Then the rotor is taken out and measured. It can be measured whether the rotor is leaking or the stator is leaking. The rotor leakage can only be replaced. The stator leakage is It is not carbon brush powder and other debris accumulated too much and leakage, cleaned and then measured, or leakage is the stator winding insulation is not good, see if the winding is shelled or wet, if not, can only rewind .

The angle grinder is faulty and the method of elimination. The angle grinder uses a series motor. The motor is characterized by two carbon brushes and a commutator on the rotor.

The most common burnout of such motors is the commutator and rotor winding ends.

If the commutator is burnt, the carbon brush pressure is generally insufficient. When the motor is working, if the current continues to be large, the carbon brush wears quickly, the time is long, the carbon brush becomes shorter, the pressure becomes smaller, and the contact resistance is large. At this time, the surface of the commutator is very hot.

If the winding is partially burned, it means that the angle grinder has a large pressure on the workpiece during operation, the friction is large, and the motor is in an overload state for too long. Also because the current is too large.
